Customer need: A bent needle for insulin pumps
Situation: The challenge in this case was to shape a needle to transport insulin around in insulin pumps for diabetic patients. The technical challenges in this project were to design a machine that can maintain flow in the needle even if the needle is bent twice. After the needle has been bent, it was mounted in a small plastic item.
The Machine: In order to manufacture these special needles, Letech Machines produced this semi-automatic Needle Bend. Precision was a critical factor for the customer - it was important that the machine could produce uniform, high-quality needles time and time again.
